This Full Guide to Mood is here to resolve any questions you might have about this place and get you ready for a really good night out.
Location & How to Get Here
The Mood Club has a very central location. In a vicinity of the main touristic and popular attractions, it is situated right in the middle between Piazza Navona (5 min walk), Largo di Torre Argentina (7 min walk), and Campo de’ Fiori (5 min walk). So, if you find yourself wondering what to do next, consider hitting Mood and dancing until the sun rises. Since the club is a walking distance from any central point in Rome (whether it is a famous statue, building, or a fountain), it is popular with international guests and tourists.
You can reach Mood by public transportation as well. The most convenient will be a take bus (number 42, 46, 64, 916). The nearest bus stop “C.so Vittorio Emanuele/navona” is only 10 meters away from the main entrance. Be aware that traffic in Rome can get very busy, especially in the city centre in the rush hours. So you might want to consider to get off the bus earlier and walk towards the place.
Another good and affordable option will be to take an Uber, especially if you are a group of friends which does not live in the outskirts of the city. A 15-min drive will be between € 13-17. You can also take a taxi, but always use a trusted company and always call in advance. Keep in mind that it is very expensive.
We would not recommend to take a metro, because all the metro stations are pretty far and give you a plenty of opportunities to get lost on your way. However, if you like walking and you are confident with the directions, then get off at the metro station Spagna (Red Line A) or Colloseo (Blue Line B). A walk from these stations would be around 25 min or so. Not the closest, but a good one for a sightseeing and enjoying beautiful Rome.
Dress Code & Age Requirement
You should be older than 18 years old to be able to enter the club. Usually, the audience of the Mood Club is young, in their 20s and early 30s. On Thursday nights it is widely popular with Erasmus students who are usually in late teens and their early 20s.
Officially the dress code is trendy casual, on the dressy side, but in reality, there are no particular rules to follow, it is pretty relaxed. Perhaps, the most important thing is to avoid looking too sporty. After all it is not a gym, but a club to dance and drink, so all the logic applies and you should dress up accordingly. Any clean, tidy, and good-looking clothes will do just fine. There are no regulations against tattoos, piercing and/or hairstyles, but don’t go too extreme, otherwise, you might be denied an entry.
There is strong focus on hip-hop and international trendy music. Since there are two areas, the type of music always varies in each of them and you can choose and switch to the best one you like. Apart from hip-hop, you will certainly hear a dance music. Don’t expect too much electro and techno beats, as people come to Mood to dance. Progressive and house, R&B and pop – they are the most popular music styles that are played inside. Another additional plus is that DJ is very friendly and receptive to music requests. Don’t be shy and ask what you want to hear.

There are usually not that many people waiting to get inside, but on the busy days (Friday and Saturday) around 3 am you can wait up to 30 minutes. As for the guest list, there is none. Always come earlier, if you want to get a table or get in inside without waiting.
Mood is located nearby Campo de’ Fiori, which is great for nightlife. In here you can start your night and get some drinks before you hit the Mood club and continue partying until the morning. Keep in mind that although Mood opens around 10-11 pm, it does not get crowded until 2 am. It is great for an after party, and not so good to kick off your night. The best nights to visit will be Thursday and Friday, – they are usually full of buzz and good music.
QUICK TIP: Do try their Gin&Tonic! It is not bitter as in many places and has a slight sweet taste of a lemon.
The venue is very popular with students and young travelers, so the average age is quite young. Mood is not exquisite or posh, but rather, a very simple but good place to dance and drink. The prices here are very affordable too, so no wonder why it is so crowded with a younger age.
QUICK TIP: A bar inside Mood is very small, so as it gets packed, the service becomes slow, and you can wait for a substantial amount of time to get a drink. A good idea might be to order more than one drink at a time.
Last, but not least, do not come here alone and always bring a couple of friends along. Unfortunately, sometimes you can meet some creepy men in the club, and it is better to have some people around you in order to avoid any trouble.
